The Permian Basin of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico is one of the most productive oil and gas regions in North America containing 23 percent of the proved oil reserves in the United States (Energy Information Administration, 2003). Productive reservoirs across this area range in depth from several thousand to as deep as twelve thousand feet offering multiple opportunities to test across the basin. Our primary area of operation or “focus areas” in the greater Permian Basin include the Midland Basin and its Eastern Shelf in West Texas and the Delaware Basin.
Our history in the Permian Basin, including Three Rivers I and Three Rivers II, includes operations on over 300,000 acres. In Three Rivers III, our leasehold position is approximately 57,000 net acres in the Delaware Basin.
